Ghostface Killah w/ Busta Rhymes - Superstar
More than three weeks after the quarter was officially over, I have finally finished my last paper, meaning I am done with my first year of graduate school. Despite the occasional hiccup and frustration, it was on the whole, a perfectly good year of school. I’m even smarter than I was when I started, and slightly less terrified of my advisor. Year two promises lots of new things to be scared of.
The last paper was, to a small extent, ruined by doubt. Which is to say, my failure to account for the word doubt until late in the game really hamstrung one of my major points. Which was a bummer because it was one of my more firmly argued points. That’s how science goes, I suppose. And even with its flaws, there enough good stuff in there to move forward, cultivating something into a better paper down the line.
Both most importantly, I am done. And drinking gin and listening to Ghostface (this one off his most recent album, Apollo Kids, which is pretty darn enjoyable), which is the thing I do when I’m done.
